Hot Lunch Orders / Cashless Schools – Orders for October are due by September 21^st at midnight.  This is your only opportunity to place orders for the month of October. IVS T-Shirts – Youth and Adult sizes available $10 each.

IVS 5K and 1K Fun Run – Our annual 5K and 1K Fun Run is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15 so mark that date!  You won’t walk to miss this great event for the whole family in support of healthy active lifestyles.  Set a family goal and consider training for this run or walk event.

Fluoride Program – will be starting on Oct. 14^th.  A huge thank you to our program volunteers Mrs. Dunnett and Mrs. Marino.

Rainbows -We are hoping to offer this program for a group in K – 2 and a group in 3 – 5. The program is for students who have experienced some form of loss (eg. family separation, death in the family). There is information on our school website main page about the program. Please contact Mrs. O’Brien if interested in the K – 2 Program (connie.o’brien@nbed.nb.ca) or Ms. Roy if you are interested in the 3 – 5 program (michelle.roy@nbed.nb.ca ). 

IVS Swinging for Cash 50 / 50 Fundraiser – we will be having our 50/50 draw each Wednesday moving forward so don’t forget to send in your toonie with your family number on it. You can also drop your numbered toonie at the West Starbucks location before 7am on Wednesday. Last week’s lucky number wasn’t played so all the money is carried forward to this week’s draw J Good Luck! 

EMO Drills – This week we conducted an “unannounced” Fire Drill under the supervision of the Fire Marshall. The Marshall praised the school for the efficiency in which the staff and students completed the drill. In early October, we will be performing our Lockdown drill.  Teachers will review the procedures for this in advance with the students in their class and students will be aware it is a drill only. In the event of an emergency, our parent communication centre will be located at St. Mark’s Church.  This will be the location to receive any updates. If you have questions about our EMO plans/procedures please contact the school principal.

Student Fee – a friendly reminder to please send in your student fee by the end of the month.  We are happy to work with families on a payment plan if that suits your needs.  The fee is $20 per student or $50 for a family of three children.  Thank-you to all who have already paid!
